Silvia Di Cesare is PhD student at CIRAD (Montpellier, France) and the University "G. d'Annunzio " (Pescara, Italy), her research project refers to the evaluation of exposure to pesticides in banana production systems through an expert elicitation approach.
Graduated from a Master in Business Economics with a thesis about the definition of the perimeter in an SLCA study and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Economics from "G. d'Annunzio" University of Chieti-Pescara (Italy).
She is a member of the Italian LCA Network, the ELSA research group (Environmental and Sustainability Life Cycle Assessment) and the Société Française d'Economie Rural (SFER).
Author and reviewer of international journals such as International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment and the Journal of Cleaner Production, she participated to the 4th and 5th International Seminar on Social LCA.
She is co-Organiser of the 6th International Conference on Social LCA in 2018.
She is author of published or accepted peer reviewed research or reviews articles in international journals in high impact factor journals (Scopus and ISI Web of Knowledge), book chapters and presentations in conferences.
She participated as a trainer at the Research Training Course "Social Life Cycle Assessment, application to the agriculture and agrifood" (March 2016 - Sète, France) and at the training course "Social Life cycle assessment" organised by the Italian Network on LCA (September 2016 - Pescara, Italy).
