Luigia Petti is Associate Professor of Environmental Management Systems and Quality Management at the Department of Economic Studies, University "G. d'Annunzio" of Pescara-Chieti (Italy). Her research topics are related to: the study of economic and productive activities in their interactions with the environment; the application of the environmental management tools and the analysis of the sustainability of product systems, with special focus on Social LCA. She is member of the Italian LCA Network; member of the Italian Commodity Science Academy; member of the Scientific Committee of the 5th International Conference in Social LCA; Co-Organiser and co-chair of the 6th International conference on Social LCA in 2018, together with Alessandra Zamagni and Marzia Traverso; SLCA organiser instructor at the training course organised by the Italian Network on LCA (2016); member of the Social LCA Alliance, founded and coordinated by the UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative. She is author of more than 100 papers published in Italian and international scientific Journals, conferences proceedings and books, many of which on the Life Cycle Approach.
