Call for the submission of abstracts

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to the 26th Annual Conference of ISDRS organised by the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Budapest, Hungary, between the 15th and 17th of July, 2020.

The concept of Sustainable Development was coined more than thirty years ago and has made a remarkable career ever since in many different fields. While both its theoretical underpinnings and the possibility of its practical implementation have often been contested, it can still provide a common ground for the representatives of different scientific disciplines as well as stakeholders within society.

Although the underlying principles of Sustainable Development remain mostly unchanged, radical changes in our natural environment, society and economy (e.g. the rapid decline of ecosystems, new forms of social tension, innovative business models and a new industrial revolution) warrant a need to take a fresh look at how the concept of Sustainable Development can secure a healthy and just future for all humans and other living creatures.

The special topic of the Budapest conference: 'Sustainability in Transforming Societies' aims to explore the implications of undergoing change on both the concept of Sustainable Development and its implementation in the short, medium and long terms.

To submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation at the conference, please select one of the topics of the conference and follow the instructions at this link*: isdrs2020.exordo.com

The deadline for abstract submission is the 15th of January, 2020.
(This is the final deadline, which will not be extended any further.)
